Grady Faulkner '75

Grady Faulkner resides in Middletown Ct with his wife Jennette and 2 college attending daughters. Graduating from Adelphi in 1975, he started his career as a Systems Analyst for the New York City Health & Hospital Corporation and received his Masters in Operations at Rensselear Polytechnic Institute. After several positions with Unilever and private Consulting, Grady is currently Manufacturing Accounting Analyst for CUNO, 3M in it’s water filtration group.
In addition to his professional life, Grady is a dedicated Youth Development Advocate and an active Community leader holding leadership positions in the NAACP, Oddfellows Youth Theater, The Connection and the Middlesex Community College. He has received several awards including Branch awards from two different NAACP Chapters, Citizen of the Year and community Male Role Model.
In 2003 after almost 30 years, Grady and several fellow alumni put forth a proposal and formally started the Multicultural Alumni Chapter within the framework of Adelphi Alumni Association. This new Chapter’s members have brought a great deal of new life, excitement and a paradigm shift in alumni relations at the University capping a tremendous effort by the current Administration to make Adelphi one of the hottest small colleges in the country. Building RELATIONSHIPS FIRST is the secret to the Chapter’s success.
In Spring of 2006, Grady was sworn in as a member of City of Middletown’s Common Council, the main governing body of the city. This is the latest testament of his community service ethic and an opportunity to do more and encourage others to get involved.
