Competencies
Dr. Eric Hieger has extensive business experience on both the East and West coasts, steadily gaining experience across multiple fields and holding the titles of Sales Consultant, Sales Manager, Regional Director, Vice President and President of various organizations. Eric has expertise in the Learning, Training and Organizational Development arenas spanning 14 years, specializing in the areas of peak performance, leadership, teamwork, executive development, change leadership/acceleration, communications and strategic organizational development. Eric has advanced skill in people and organizational change, adult learning and development, executive coaching and issues of diversity in the workplace. He is highly regarded by both internal and external customers for his practical, solution-oriented approach to work.
Eric also has proficiency in assessing training and development needs for individuals, teams and organizations. He has designed and delivered a spectrum of soft skills training and professional development courses at all levels throughout organizations, including: leadership, management, teaming and cross-functional team development, performance management, change management, using differences to drive performance (conflict management and resolution), coaching and dialogue/feedback skills. He is an undergraduate alumnus of Adelphi University and earned a Doctoral Degree in Psychology from CIIS in San Francisco, CA.
Present Role
Today, while Eric holds the title of Director of Business Development for JVKellyGroup, Inc., his role is expansive. He is actively engaged in new client acquisition, existing account development, account management and marketing. In addition, Eric is involved in the JVKG Center of Excellence and contributes his expertise to JVKG organizational development issues. Lastly, Eric provides support to JVKG professionals on client change management and leadership initiatives.
Recognition
Eric has been frequently published and quoted in professional and trade journals. He is a sought after speaker in areas of leadership, teamwork, coaching and business development, presenting in local, regional and national venues. In addition to his role at JVKG, Eric is currently the President of Organizational Development Network Long Island and co-chair of the LISTnet Special Interest Group A-TRAIN (Advancing Talent, Resources, Abilities & Initiatives Network), two organizations committed to sharing workplace best and emerging practices to inspire innovation within the local business community. He is also Executive Vice President of the Board of Adelphi University's Alumni Association.
Volunteerism
Eric is a proud husband, father and Suffolk County resident dedicated to a number of causes and special interests. Eric is active in the mental health community, working closely with the Mental Health Association of Nassau County and several local organizations advocating for individuals with Autism and Asperger's Syndrome and their families. In addition, Eric is a supporter of Sustainable Long Island, the Little Shelter Animal Adoption Center in Huntington, and is actively involved in advancing the work of the National Association of Mothers' Centers, serving on the Corporate Committee for the annual Work/Life Conference.
