Purpose of C•O•A•C•H
The C.O.A.C.H. Program provides alumni of Adelphi University the opportunity to provide industry and career information as well as encouragement to current students and fellow alumni as they enter their chosen field as a resource and/or mentor.

Benefits of C•O•A•C•H
The best advice often comes from hearing the personal experiences of others. Being a member of the C.O.A.C.H. program allows individuals to provide others with realistic information about career options, job responsibilities, as well as employment conditions and expectations. As a member of C.O.A.C.H., individuals can share information regarding their career path, meet others in the field and gain insight and advice on various professions.

Being a COACH is
  • A great way to assist Adelphi students and fellow alumni who need professional career advice and guidance.
  • An opportunity to be a mentor and advisor.
  • A way to give back to your alma mater.
Getting a COACH is
  • An important step in the career exploration process.
  • An opportunity for students and fellow alumni to network with professionals in the field.
  • A way for students and fellow alumni to get first-person career advice from professionals.
Participation Opportunities
  • COACHes may be invited to serve as keynote speakers, panelists and classroom presenters to discuss career issues with students.
  • COACHes are invited to host 20-30 students on-site at their place of business. This helps students to understand the day-to-day operations of the profession.
  • COACHes may also decide to allow a student to shadow them for the day/part of the day at their places of employment.
The Office of Alumni Relations will be working with the Center for Career Development on C.O.A.C.H Programs and developing coaches.
