Advice from Alumni
  • Get a business card from everyone you meet and write down on the back of it where and when you met the person. You never know when it could come in handy.
  • Always be humble to everyone you meet. Learn as much as you can from as many people as you can.
  • Volunteer to undertake as many projects as you can at work.
  • Conduct yourself in a professional manner, even outside of work.
  • Do not be afraid to ask for help.
  • Accept criticism gracefully.
  • Learn the “unwritten” rules within the office. Make adjustments to adapt to the working environment.
  • Read trade magazines regularly.
  • Be organized.
  • Use every opportunity to meet new people. You never know who may be in a position to help you one day.
