Welcome to Reunion 2015! Contact your roommate, best friend, or classmate you have not seen in awhile and come back together at Adelphi for an unforgettable June Saturday on our Garden City campus.
Below is the schedule of events. Registration will soon be available. Early bird prices will run through May 15, 2015. While there is no charge for most events, we ask that you pre-register so we have enough space and refreshments available.
Note that the cost for dinner will increase after May 15 so register early!
Schedule of Events
12:00 p.m. Reunion check-in. Located in the AU Performing Art Center Lobby.
12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. The AU Bookstore will be open to pick up your Adelphi Swag, get a bandanna for the dog, an outfit for your kids and presents for your nieces and nephews. Lower level, University Center.
12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Volleyball at Levermore. Nets will be set up for anyone who wants to play a pick-up game of volleyball. Casual, fun and not hyper-organized! Come to the reunion check-in to get a ball.
1:00 p.m. Back to the Future! This iconic movie from 1985 spans our reunion years as “the future” was 2015! Visit the commuter lounge to view this film from yesteryear that will run continuously through the afternoon. Stop in the Underground Café for snacks. Lower level, University Center
1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Paint and Pour: A spin off to 2014’s Corks and Canvasses. Join us in the main lobby of the Center for Recreation and Sports where we will be creating personalized wine and beer glasses. Choose a design from our examples or bring some of your own! While the creative juices are flowing, enjoy some light snacks and wine or beer. At the end of the class we will give you instructions on how to “cure” your glass in your oven, which then makes it dishwasher safe!
Pre-registration is required as supplies will be ordered ahead of time. Price includes refreshments, paint (to keep), and one beer OR wine glass. Glass type (wine or beer) will be available at a first come, first served basis. Cost: $10 per person
2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Campus Tour. See how Adelphi has changed yet stayed the same with your special memories. Meet in front of AUPAC.
3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Alumni Art Exhibition and Wine Reception. Join us for a reception in honor of the alumni art exhibit and appreciate the creative work of your peers. Curated by Eliz Alahverdian. (No charge but admission by reunion name badge only.) Second floor, AUPAC
3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. School/College mini-receptions. Within the Art Show exhibit, alumni will have the opportunity to visit, network or just catch up with our school specific receptions. Deans and faculty will be invited. Deans and faculty will be invited. Also, Levermore Global Scholars will celebrate their Fifth Anniversary and Kappa Sigmas will celebrate their Tenth Anniversary. Exact time and location within the Performing Arts Center will be on final schedule. (This was a suggestion from last year’s reunion so help us make this successful!) AUPAC

Kappa Sigma – 10th Anniversary at Adelphi
6:00 p.m. to 11 p.m. Reunion Celebration Dinner and Dancing. Located at the iconic Garden City Hotel, this special evening for our reunion classes will include a one hour cocktail reception with open bar followed by an elegant buffet dinner with wine (and beer) and soda plus dessert and coffee service (after the cocktail hour, mixed drinks will be available for purchase at the hotel bar). The cost also includes a special commemorative gift in honor of President Scott and one raffle ticket. Finish the evening with dancing with DJ Shocase. Early Bird Special: $45 (Price after May 15 is $65)
This year’s reunion dinner (a $120 value) is being underwritten in part thanks to our partnership with Mercer Consumer and Liberty Mutual Insurance. Thanks to our partners for making this wonderful opportunity affordable.
If you wish to stay on campus…Overnight accommodations are available in Adelphi’s residence halls. Light continental breakfast is included. Note that the charge for staying in the residence hall is per room, not per person. If you are the person paying for the room, list the person(s) that plan on staying in the room. Over the summer note that other groups may be housed on campus so please be respectful of all Adelphi guests. Check-in at New Hall B. Double Room: $80/night, Triple Room: $120/night
