Leadership Certificate Program

Presenter: Philip Ambrosio, ’78
Senior Vice President & Chief Administrative Officer, York Capital Management

Understand how to better manage your finances including the importance of paying yourself first and saving for a rainy day and retirement.  This workshop will help you learn the difference between various financial vehicles such as mutual funds, stocks, cds, as well as retirement accounts. 

Philip Ambrosio, CPA (State of New York) and member of the AICPA and New York Society of CPA’s, joined York Capital Management in July 2007 and is current senior vice president and chief administrative officer. He is a member of the firm’s Brokerage and Operating committees. Prior to joining York, he was the corporate controller of S.A.C. Capital Advisors, a multistrategy, private asset management firm. Mr. Ambrosio’s past experience includes nineteen years at Neuberger Berman serving as their controller, chief financial officer and the chief administrator officer of their Trust Companies. He was the chief financial officer when Neuberger Berman went public in 1999. He began his career in public accounting, working four years at Spicer and Oppenheim in their Brokerage Services division. Mr. Ambrosio received a B.B.A. in Accounting, magna cum laude, from Adelphi University. His personal interests include travel and photography and wines of the world.
