Message from the President
I want to thank all those alumni who attended our recent President's Reception at the Norton Museum of Art. Everyone seemed to enjoy the evening which included tours of the Impressionist exhibition from the Boston Museum. The Norton Museum and Lyon and Lyon Catering provided excellent food and ambience.
The President's Reception continues to be a place to renew collegial relationships. As the evening progressed, a number of Alumni spoke to me about encountering old classmates who they had lost touch with and how their friendships had been renewed.
The attendance at this event was encouraging. With significantly higher attendance rates than any other reception in the past, we will continue to try to find venues which generate this kind of excitement.
The Florida East Chapter Steering Committee will be reviewing ideas for another local event guided by what we think will appeal to the majority of alumni. Once the plans are finalized we will communicate them to the entire South East Florida Alumni Chapter. As many of you know, we hosted a well attended casino cruise last year. Many enthusiastic alumni were accompanied by family members, all enjoying a beautiful day on the ocean.
I welcome anyone who is interested, to join the South East Florida Alumni Steering Committee. New perspectives and ideas are essential to the success of our chapter. Our meetings are conveniently located, short and fun! If you are interested, please call or email me for additional information.
